Laying vinyl over tiled floors

Laying vinyl over a tiled floor is perfectly possible. But when the floor is very uneven or has deep joints, it is necessary to level it first or lay a subfloor underneath.

An existing tile floor can be levelled with a special levelling compound. This is a kind of liquid cement that you pour over the tiles and then smooth them out. Of course, it has to dry before you can place the vinyl on top.
